The Braveheart Cycling Fund Ride Help Needed

Braveheart Cycling Fund Ride Volunteer Sign Up

We’re gearing up for another unforgettable Braveheart Cycling Fund Ride—a challenging, scenic bicycle sportive that draws riders from near and far. To keep the wheels turning smoothly, we need the support of enthusiastic volunteers. Whether you’re helping with registration, directing riders, or cheering them on, you’ll be an essential part of the day. Your time and energy will help make the event safe, fun, and unforgettable for everyone.

On Saturday, 18 October 2025, the Braveheart Cycling Fund Ride (Sportive) will start from St. Joseph’s Academy/Leisure Centre (event HQ), Grassyards Road, Kilmarnock, at 10:00. Registration will open at 8:30.

The main course takes in some of the attractive scenery on offer in East Ayrshire. Leaving Kilmarnock, the route travels via Galston, Newmilns, before the climb over Windyedge & down to Sorn. Another climb out of Sorn, towards Muirkirk, then turning left through Cronberry to Auchinleck & Catrine. Some further climbing on these quiet country roads, then takes us northwards back to Galston, where we retrace our outward route back to the start/finish on Grassyards Road in Kilmarnock.
