Over the coming weeks, we will be introducing our special guest riders who will be attending the Braveheart Cycling Fund Charity Dinner and Ride.
We’re thrilled to announce that Olympian Jack Carlin will be joining us at this year’s Braveheart Cycling Fund Charity Dinner and Ride in Kilmarnock!
Jack first took up cycling after a serious football injury in his teens—he fractured both ankles, which prompted him to pursue a non-contact sport. His mother noticed a flyer for the Glasgow Riders, a local cycling club, and that’s where his talent for track sprinting began to emerge. Inspired by cycling legend Sir Chris Hoy, he became captivated by track cycling after attending local competitions and discovering his true passion for sprinting.
In 2022, Jack won three national titles in the Sprint, Keirin, and Team Sprint. At the Birmingham Commonwealth Games, he secured a Silver in Keirin and a Bronze in Sprint representing Scotland.
Jack is an Olympic cyclist with four Olympic medals, having won them across Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024. Medallist at World, European, and Commonwealth Games, competing with the Great Britain Cycling Team, Team GB, and Team Scotland.

Jack’s remarkable achievements and passion for cycling make this a truly special occasion. Having him with us adds even more significance as we come together to support the next generation of riders.
Proceeds from the evening will directly support initiatives that offer opportunities for young riders to enhance their skills, reach their potential, and continue the proud tradition of Scottish cycling.
Save the date: October 18th. Spread the word and be part of an unforgettable evening!
