World Champion Mountain Biker Charlie Aldridge to Attend Braveheart Cycling Fund Dinner

The Braveheart Cycling Fund is delighted to announce that Charlie Aldridge, Scotland’s own World Champion mountain bike rider, will be joining guests at this year’s Braveheart Cycling Fund Dinner in Kilmarnock on Saturday, 18 October.

Born in Perth and raised in Crieff, Charlie has emerged as a leading figure in international mountain biking. His rise began with his victory in the Junior World Cross-Country title at Mont-Sainte-Anne in 2019, and he has continued to secure multiple British and European Championships, including becoming the Under-23 World Champion in 2023.

“”We’re delighted to welcome Charlie to this year’s dinner,” said Trustee Kathy Gilchrist. “His World Championship win at Glentress in 2023 was one of the event’s most memorable moments for me.”

Charlie Aldridge was the Braveheart Trophy winner in 2019

Now riding for the Cannondale Factory Racing Team, Charlie has continued his success at the top level, earning World Cup podiums and representing Team GB at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, where he secured an impressive eighth place in the men’s cross-country event.

Guests at the Braveheart Dinner will have the chance to hear first-hand from Charlie about his racing journey, his experiences at the top of world sport, and his ambitions for the future.

Join us in welcoming Charlie to Kilmarnock at the Braveheart Cycling Dinner on October 18th.

Proceeds from the evening will directly support initiatives that offer opportunities for young riders to enhance their skills, reach their potential, and continue the proud tradition of Scottish cycling.

Save the date: October 18th. Spread the word and be part of an unforgettable evening!
